Hello kindergarten friends and families! My name is Wendy Jensen and I am thrilled to be a part of your child's kindergarten journey this year! I am a graduate of Western Governors University with a master's degree in elementary education and I am so excited to start my teaching career here at Silver Creek. I grew up in Logan, Utah and earned my bachelor's degree from Utah State University. Since moving to Colorado sixteen years ago, I have taught piano lessons, worked as an early childhood music education specialist, and have enjoyed being an Adams 12 guest teacher. Teaching brings me such joy and I can't wait to get to know your children, push the limits of inquiry and discovery together, and grow as a community of learners.
In my free time, I love going on adventures with my husband Anthony and our four children: Allison (15), Carter (13), Evan (10) and Jeremiah (3). I love a good joke, long walks, macademia nuts, creating music, and learning new things!
I know effective learning requires collaboration between parents, students, and teachers grounded in mutual respect and trust.
