Growing up in a military family, I moved around my entire life. We finally settled in beautiful Colorado when I was a Junior in High School and am happy to call it home. I majored in Anthropology at Colorado State University and after earning my bachelors degree, I attended the University of Northern Colorado to get my teaching license. Since then I have taught 3rd grade, Kindergarten and 1st grade and have loved them all. I took a break from teaching for a few years to stay home with my kids, but returned once my youngest entered kindergarten (yikes, he is in 7th grade now). I am excited for my eighth year teaching 1st Grade at Silver Creek.
I met my husband at CSU – GO RAMS! – and have been happily married for the past 17 years. We have two amazing children (12 and 15yrs old) that keep us very busy and we are so very proud of. We spend our time bouncing from one sport to another and loving every minute of it. When we aren’t attending games, we try to spend quality family time with eachother - whether that's watching our beloved Rams, playing outside or just getting cozy with a movie or a football game. Our summer weekends are spent camping and boating with family and friends. We have two dogs and I really can’t imagine not having a dog around - they are kind of like my furry kids. When I do have some down time, I love to curl up with a cup of coffee and a good book or a movie.
