My name is Alana Burrow and I work as a Learning Specialist for our school. I graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Denver. I worked in business for eleven years before returning to my life's two greatest passions: education and children. In 2008, I earned a Master's degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado and received my Special Education and Elementary Education licenses. I completed my internship at an Adams 12 elementary school and began my teaching career as a Learning Specialist in Adams 12. I then came to Silver Creek as a Kindergarten Teacher and Learning Specialist. This is my fourteenth year teaching and thirteenth year at Silver Creek. I have found my passion, encouraging young children to love learning! My husband and I are Colorado natives and attended District 12 schools. We have three children, a twenty-two year old daughter, an eighteen year old son, and a four year old daughter. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading, and cooking.
