I am so excited to join the amazing team of 4th-grade teachers at Silver Creek Elementary School. This is my 11th year working for Adams 12 School District. I started my teaching career in 5th grade, but soon moved to 4th and have never left the grade level. I adore 4th graders, teaching Colorado history, and watching kids grow into independent learners.
I am originally from Michigan and graduated from a school called Hope College, where I played soccer during my 4 years there. I graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Psychology and spent time in the non-profit sector and in marketing until I figured out kids are way more fun to be around all day! So, I went back to Regis University to obtain my teaching license and master’s degree. After teaching for about 8 years, I decided to take some time off to stay home full time with my young daughters, Brynn (5th grade) and Brookelyn (3rd grade). I live in Erie with my husband, my daughters, and our dear old (15 years!) black and white rescue dog named Bella.
