I began volunteering in the schools when my children started elementary school in August 1998, and became a district employee in October 2005. My first position was a student monitor at Glacier Peak Elementary. In May of 2006 I was asked if I was interested in working in the ssn program as a paraeducator (para). I accepted the position, and continued to work in both roles until May 2012.
In August 2012 I started as a full time ssn para at Silver Creek Elementary. I enjoy going to work every day and watching the kids learn and grow. It is especially gratifying to work with special needs children and see all of the amazing things that they can do! I love working at Silver Creek, it is truly a wonderful school with a great student body and staff, and the parents are incredible too!
When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my family and taking my dog, Chester, on long walks. I enjoy going on vacations and traveling to different destinations. Las Vegas and Disneyland being a couple of our favorites!
