Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have been a music teacher for my entire professional career. Teaching in a public school setting in Vermont, Los Angeles and Seattle, private piano and guitar lessons, owned my own very successful Kindermusik business in Canada and have directed and performed many musicals on stage. One of the highlights of my stage experience was actually meeting the real Maria Von Trapp when I lived in Vermont!
I received my BA degree from St. Michael’s College in Vermont and also my Masters Degree from the University of Vermont.
I have been teaching in the Adams 12 School District since 2004. I taught two years at Westview Elementary and am starting my fourteenth year at Silver Creek Elementary. I am very proud of our Silver Creek students for all of their accomplishments in music. Our very large choir (usually over 140 students) has performed at the Colorado Music Educator’s Conference in Colorado Springs as well as at our very own Rockies game singing the National Anthem. The Silver Singers perform two concerts a year including a trip to a local nursing home during the Holiday Season. We have numerous yearly grade level performances with the Fifth Grade Musical as a climax to our student’s elementary experience.
My husband Brent and I are very proud parents of our twin son and daughter who are graduates of Legacy High School. Now graduates from college, our son has his own vidiography business called Fulframe as well as working for Norris Design and our daughter is a mechanical engineer at Phillips 66 in northern CA. We have a six and a half old Golden Doodle named Lucy who loves to go for very long walks. I love to read, cook, play tennis and spend as much time as possible with my family.Alt+MAlt+N
