Hi! My name is Caitlin Cash and this is my ninth year at Silver Creek Elementary as a first grade teacher. Prior to starting at SCE, I was a substitute teacher for four years in both New York and Colorado. I received my B.A. degree in Child Study (elementary and special education) from St. Joseph's College (NY) and my Masters degree in literacy education from Long Island University.
Originally from Long Island, New York, my husband and I moved out to Colorado ten years ago and we have fallen in love with this beautiful state! We have a fun-loving six year old daughter, Kenzie, who will be in first grade here at SCE, and an energetic three year old son, Kellan. When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring all that Colorado has to offer, getting lost in a great book, and trying out new recipes.
The growth that first graders make during the year is unbelievable! I am looking forward to working together to help your child grow and succeed as first graders! I consider myself very lucky to work at such a great school with an amazing staff and caring families! Here's to another fun year here at SCE!
