I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. Things can get scary at times and I will help in any way that I can. Teaching is an important part of my life and I hope together we can meet your child's academic and social needs this year. This will be my 21st year teaching in the district! I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Social Science and my Master's degree from Grand Canyon University in Elementary Education. I have taught computers, kindergarten, first and second grade.
I can't wait to learn more about all of the children in my class. Here are a few facts about myself so that you can start to get to know me. I grew up in Thornton and attended Adams 12 schools from elementary through high school. I am married to my wonderful husband Chris and have two beautiful daughters. Kelsey is heading to UNC this fall to pursue a business degree and Leah is an 8th grader at Rocky Top. We also have a loveable dog named Sienna. I enjoy the outdoors, playing and watching sports (especially volleyball, soccer and football), and spending time with my friends and family.
When you have a question, comment, concern or just want to talk about your child please feel free to contact me. Phone calls, emails or notes are just perfect. I respond most quickly through email. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend this school year with your child!
