Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss issues, ideas, and/or positives of our school. Mrs. Sampson and I are absolutely excited about this school year and the growth mindset that our entire staff is taking for the benefit of every student that walks in our hallways. We truly feel....."It is ALWAYS a great day to be a Silver Creek Eagle!"

Mr. Oliver's bio:
I am entering my 27th year in education. I started my teaching career in the spring of 1997 as a long term substitute at Mary Blair Elementary (Loveland, CO.) and then as an elementary teacher at Fitzmorris Elementary (Arvada, CO.) for 8 years. After teaching, I became a high school dean of students (4 years) at Horizon High School (where I was a varsity assistant baseball coach for 11 years). I then accepted a position as the assistant principal at Silver Creek Elementary. After 5 years, I was announced as the principal of Silver Creek Elementary in the summer of 2015. This school year (2023-24) will mark my 10th year as the principal and 15th year at Silver Creek Elementary.
Originally, I attended elementary schools in Kansas, California and Oklahoma. I am a proud product of Adams 12 Five Star Schools. I attended Pecos Jr. High and graduated from Northglenn High School in 1988. After high school, I earned my associate’s degree at Pratt Community College (KS) (on a baseball scholarship), my bachelor’s degree/teacher's license from the University of Northern Colorado, and my master’s degree/principal’s license from C.U. Denver. I still love baseball. If I'm not watching baseball on tv or in person, you will find me on the Broomfield High School baseball field as an assistant varsity coach. I am currently in my 17th season at BHS.
I am happily married with four children. My wife, Katie, works for the Colorado Dept. of Education in secondary special education. My son, Patrick (34), graduated from Broomfield High School, Otero Junior College, and the University of Nebraska-Kearney (where he played baseball) and earned his business degree. He is currently senior manager B2B of program operations at Rivian (electric cars) in Seattle, Washington. My son, Parker (30), graduated from Broomfield High School and earned his business degree from C.U. Denver. He is currently a financial analyst for Hartford. My daughter, Kennedy (13), is an 8th grade student at Rocky Top Middle School. She loves being in middle school. If she is not at school she is either walking her dog, playing volleyball or playing softball. My daughter, Paige (8), is a bundle of energy and attitude. She is a 3rd grade student here at Silver Creek Elementary. She loves being an Eagle. She also loves riding her scooter, playing teacher and you will almost always see her wearing a dress.
I love sports (especially baseball) and music (especially concerts-which I have a very nice list of shows I have attended). I love working with our awesome students and our amazing staff while supporting them in their daily challenges, questions and celebrations. I am honored to be the principal at Silver Creek Elementary and an administrator in the Adams 12 Five Star School District. I love the challenge and opportunity of returning to a district that helped me become the person and educator that I am today.
