SCE Field Day 5/15/26

Dear Parents and Guardians,

When: Friday - May 15, 2026

  • Morning Session: ALL grades, 8:00-11:00 A.M.
  • Lunch: 11:00-12:00 P.M. (whole school)
  • Afternoon Session: ALL grades, 12:00-2:25 P.M.
  • Makeup date: May 18th, 2026

Where: Silver Creek Elementary (main playground)

Here is some important information to remember for field day:

  • It is preferred that you send your student in their Silver Creek Sneak shirt from this year, but it is not required. This helps identify where students are on the field if I need to track them down for any reason. They should also bring clothes that can get wet. If your child wants to bring a water bottle that is O.K. but they are responsible for it.

  • All families/students must fill out the order form, whether they are attending Field Day or not, by May 1st.  Lunch Order Form

Field Day Expectations at SCE:

Field day is when we are welcoming the summer season in by enjoying the fresh outdoor air while playing some of our favorite games!  This is a day where students are able to showcase some of the skills we have worked on throughout the year and some of the character themes we learn in Physical Education.  Student behaviors on this day must reflect what we expect every day in our classrooms.  Students are expected to be safe, organized, have great attitudes and be respectful throughout the day.  Here are some student reminders for field day.

  • Please wear weather appropriate clothing.  (Tennis shoes, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen are also a good idea)

  • Stay with your class at all times.

  • Play the games as they have been taught to you.  Please follow all rules!  Rules make the game work properly and keep everybody safe.

  • Please be supportive and encouraging of our team members. Cooperation and teamwork are a must!!

  • Winning is fun, but be gracious at winning and gracious when losing.

  • Be a great listener on field day and please be respectful of the volunteers working at each station, without them there would be no field day.

  • Only current Silver Creek students/parents can participate in games.  Some stations are very time sensitive and there is only enough time to get each class through one time. Parents, please use your best judgment when it comes to participating with your child.

Please share this information with your student prior to field day!

Thanks,

Mr. Bunn
