Remote Learning Information

Important Basics

  • Remote Learning will begin on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

  • The first grade team will post the week's learning board on SeeSaw and through email which will contain the lessons and assignments for the whole week.

    • We are trying to make this as user friendly as possible because we know that you all have so much on your plate right now, so the assignments on the weekly learning board can be completed any time throughout the week, but should all be completed by Sunday at 5pm.  You set the schedule and pace at home that works best for you.

    • The new learning board for the following week will be sent out/posted on Sunday evenings around 10pm.

  • SeeSaw is our main learning platform! Please make sure that if you are using the app, it is SeeSaw Class or you can access SeeSaw on your computer/chromebook.  Your child will need their individual access code.

Office Hours:

First grade will have daily office hours to answer questions or clarify the weekly assignments.  Any questions during office hours will be responded to promptly, but please feel free to email any time and we will respond as soon as possible.

Monday: 9:00 am-10:00 am and 1:00 pm-2:00 pm

Tuesday: 10:00 am-11:00 pm and 2:00 pm-3:00 pm

Weekly Class Meeting:

In order to stay connected to our “class family”  we will have an optional Zoom class meeting once a week.  Parents will get an email with a Zoom meeting invite. This may vary week to week in order to allow all families to participate.

Attendance is based-on submission of weekly assignments posted to Seesaw. All required assignments from the weekly menu will be due by 5pm on Sunday.

Student grades will be determined through the learning activities on SeeSaw. Grades will be based on participation, effort and completion of learning activities.
